Stepping into the Prairie

Trivium conceptualized and developed “Stepping into the Prairie,” an immersive, interactive projected experience where both children and adults can interact with a tallgrass prairie ecosystem that evolves through four seasons and day/night cycles. Visitors run, jump, and wave their arms, prompting plants and animals to react to their gestures and movements. Through this interactivity, they learn about the landscape, flora, and fauna, and gain a deeper understanding of the prairie’s delicate balance and the critical role humans play in its conservation.

The exhibit also includes an opportunity to design your own prairie creatures in the “Paint the Prairie” interactive. Here, youngsters unleash their creativity by coloring an animal of their choice on a touchscreen. Once complete, their creations come to life in a vibrant, animated rendering of the prairie.
