Sitting on the border between Boston and Revere, Suffolk Downs was a pillar of the community for almost a century. Built in less than three months in 1935, it brought the sport of horse racing to the area, and entertained tens of thousands of spectators daily. As Suffolk Downs begins its next life as a work/live neighborhood, Trivium was asked to document the history and people who made the track so special. Through a dozen interviews and exhaustive research of thousands of photos and videos, we created a 30-minute documentary that will keep the memories of horse racing in Boston alive. Jockeys, trainers, facility staff, and others help tell the story of this special place, reminding us that while its days as a race track have ended, those times will live on in the hearts of all who experienced it.
