One of Trivium’s first interactives, Pathways explores the ways the descendants of the early families that inhabited the Robbins House (the children and grandchildren of the former enslaved Ceasar Robbins), forged their own paths towards complete independence and equality. The interactive highlights the stories of 3 groups of people closely associated with the house and how their lives are interconnected with the history of the Civil Rights movement in Boston, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the Nation. Visitors can either choose to learn more about each of these figures, or they can choose to learn more about their connections, creating their own paths of discovery.
